Police Arrest Man Who Allegedly Killed Girlfriend, Posted Murder Online

NEW ORLEANS- Police have arrested a man after they say he allegedly killed his girlfriend and posted her murder on social media.

BJ Brown, 32, was arrested in Tennessee, where he allegedly shot an officer after police say he killed his girlfriend, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

Brown allegedly shot and killed his long-term girlfriend, 48-year-old Cassandra Jones, on Monday.

Video footage shows a man carrying a long gun and walking up to Jones before he shoots her in the back. She ran before collapsing. As Jones struggled on the floor, Brown can be seen with a long gun, shooting two more times.

Brown then fled the scene on foot.

Jones was taken to hospital, where she died from injuries.

The couple reportedly had an abusive relationship, reports NOLA.com.

The shooting death of Jones was captured and shown on social media by Brown.

Brown fled after the murder to Tennessee, where he’s from. He’s accused of shooting a police officer, who was listed in stable condition.
Brown faces a second-degree murder charge in New Orleans and attempted first-degree murder in the shooting of the officer.
