Police Arrest Teen Suspect Accused Of Fatally Stabbing NYC Human Rights Activist

NYC- A teenager was arrested Thursday for the unprovoked stabbing death of an activist and poet who was with his girlfriend, police said.

Brian Dowling,18, was allegedly caught on surveillance footage attacking Ryan Carson, 32, and his girlfriend, Claudia Morales, on Monday night.

Video shows Carson and Morales sitting on a bus stop bench on the corner of Lafayette Dowling and Malcom X Boulevard in Brooklyn around 4 a.m. when Dowling allegedly walks by them with a black hoodie and began to kick over a row of scooters.

The couple begins walking towards Dowling when he’s heard on video shouting “What the f**k are you looking at?”.

Carson replied that he wasn’t looking at Dowling before he allegedly shouted, “I’ll kill you!”.

Dowling allegedly pulled a knife out and pursued Carson, who fled, but fell over the bench he had been sitting on. Dowling stabbed Carson three times.

He then went over to Morales. spat on her and kicked Carson as he laid curled up on the sidewalk.

Carson was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
