Police in Chicago have arrested two men, who they say be potential suspects in actor Jussie Smollett’s attack but there’s a huge problem.
The two men who were arrested are not white as Smollett told police.
In fact the two men are brothers, and are Nigerian. Yes. Smollett described the men who attacked him as two white males that wore MAGA hats, insulting him with racist and homophobic slurs. Another weird twist, is that one of these men have worked on ‘Empire’, so there is a connection.
Sources have also told ABC Chicago that police are also investigating whether this was a staged attack because Smollett was being written off of ‘Empire.’
Why would Smollett lie? There have been several holes in his story. Police have also said that if they find that he’s lying, he will be charged.
Smollett says that he was attacked around 2 a.m. on Jan. 29 in Chicago. He also police that the men were white males, that were wearing MAGA hats who beat beat him. poured bleach on him and tied a noose around his neck.
Police did say that they found a bottle on the scene just a few days ago, with liquid inside of it, that reportedly smelled like bleach.
