MICHIGAN- Police have identified the Michigan State Shooter, who killed three people and left five others wounded, police said.
43-year-old Anthony McRae has been identified as the gunman who opened fire in two separate locations at Michigan State University on Monday night.
McRae had no relations to the school, as he wasn’t a student, an employee or related to anyone who studied at the school.
Police said they received multiple 911 calls about two shootings near the university. The first shooting happened at the social science building, held at Berkey Hall at 8:18 p.m. and the second shooting happened at the nearby MSU Union on Monday, according to reports.
Police said three people were killed and five others were wounded in the shooting. They were all students at the school.
Campus employees have identified the three victims who were killed as Alexandria Verner, Brian Fraser and Arielle Anderson.
The five other victims who were wounded remain in critical condition and a few of them needed emergency surgeries.
McRae was found dead with a self-inflicted gunshot wound around 11: p.m. at an off-campus location after police received a tip.
A note was reportedly found in his pocket that which had threats to shoot up two in Ewing, New Jersey.
Schools in Ewing were closed for the day for safety precautions.
There is no known motive.
Family and friends have reportedly said that McRae began to behave strange after his mother died.
