MARYLAND- A police officer has been charged with multiple counts of rape and has been suspended from his job without pay.
According to WBAL, 25-year-old Anthony Michael Westerman has been charged with two counts of second-rape and three counts of second-degree assault according to officials who announced the news on Sunday.
Police launched an investigation after receiving a tip.
The alleged rapes took place on October 2017 and June 2019. Westerman was a 6 year vet. He is currently in custody, but has a bond hearing coming up on Jan. 3..
