BALTIMORE- A police officer who was shot in an ambush attack last week died Thursday after she was taken off of life support.
39-year-old Keona Holley was shot in her head around 1:35 a.m. Dec. 16 while inside of her vehicle and working an overnight shift in the area of Curtis Bay.
Holley was taken to a hospital and placed on life support, but her condition worsened over the following days.
She leaves 4 children behind.
Police say the shooter approached the vehicle from behind and fired inside.
Elliot Knox, 31, and Travon Shaw, 32, have both been charged with the attempted murder of officer Holley.
Both men have also been charged in the death of 38-year-old Justin Johnson, who was killed about 10 miles from where Holley was shot.
