PORTUGUESE- Police have began searching for the body of Madeleine McCann after she’s been missing for 14 years.
According to The Sun, police say that they have evidence, which ties Christian Brueckner, 43 to McCann disappearing.
Police are not saying what evidence it is that they have, which caused Brueckner’s arrest, but they are searching for McCanns body.
The recovery mission is taking place in southern Portuguese. This area is not far from where McCann went missing. Police are focusing on the wells to find her body.
Bruecker was in Portuguese after fleeing from Germany because he was convicted in 1994 for the sexual abuse of a child in Germany.
Many believed for years that Madeleine’s parents were involved in her disappearance.
Madeleine disappeared in May of 2007 after her parents left her alone in their Hotel room because they said they were be able to see her. After spending time with their friends, the parents returned to find their daughter missing.
