LOS ANGELES- Rapper Pop Smoke was taking a shower in a Los Angeles mansion, when two masked men climbed in through a second-floor balcony, LAPD detective Christian Carrasco testified on Thursday.
One of the masked gunman allegedly put a black semiautomatic firearm to the head of a female that Pop Smoke had in his bedroom that night, Carrasco said on court, reports The New York Daily News.
Carrasco says the female witness told police “She heard a struggle coming from the shower area and heard Mr. Jackson screaming. Mr. Jackson ran out of the bathroom and then she heard a loud pop and heard Mr. Jackson fall to the ground.”
Carrasco says the witness saw two men kicking the rapper, whose real name is Bashar Barakah Jackson.
The motive for Pop Smoke’s killing is unknown.
Investigators say that 4 men masked men were seen on surveillance footage at the time of Pop Smoke’s murder.
