BROOKLYN- Rapper Pop Smoke will be laid to rest in his hometown of Brooklyn.
The New York Daily News has learned that Pop Smoke, whose real name is Bashar Barakah Jackson, will be buried at the historic Green-Wood Cemetery later on this week, which is south of Prospect Park in Brooklyn.
The information was obtained through a copy of is death certificate, which was obtained by the news outlet.
Th 20-year-old rapper was a rising star with hits like ‘Welcome To The Party”, “Dior” and “Christopher Walker”. He was killed on Feb.19. by three masked men who entered the Hollywood Hills home he was in. There were several other people there with him.
His cause of death was a gunshot wound to his torso.
Detectives in California have been having a hard time trying to figure out a motive, and who were his killers, because according to them, the witnesses that were present are either not or speaking or aren’t being truthful with their stories.
