KENTUCKY- Reality TV star Porsha Williams and NFL player Kenny Stills have had their felony charges dropped against them on Friday, after they were arrested for protesting in Kentucky for Breonna Taylor.
Williams and Still were among a large group of 87 other protesters that were arrested on Tuesday in front of the home of Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron.
According to Louisville police, some protester’s allegedly threatened to set Cameron’s home on fire, which is a felony charge.
According to the Associated Press, Jefferson County attorney Mike O’Connell said that police had probable cause to arrest Stills, Williams, rapper Trae Tha Truth and many more, but “in the interest of justice and the promotion of the free exchange of ideas, [we] will dismiss that charge.”
Although they have had their felony charges dropped against then, Williams, Stills and others, still face misdemeanor charges.
On March 13th, Louisville police entered Breonna Taylor’s home on a “no-knock” search warrant, letting off over 20 bullets, striking Taylor 5 times, killing her.
26-year-old Taylor was unarmed in the hallway when she was killed.
She was a medical technician.
