Pregnant mother shot and killed in Easter drive-by

TEXAS- A pregnant woman was fatally shot and killed in a drive-by as she sat in her boyfriend’s car on Easter.

Brianna Navarro was sitting in the passenger seat of her boyfriend’s car around 1:10 p.m. when a gunman opened fire on the vehicle, according to the Houston Police Department.

Police say that Navarro’s boyfriend was in an argument with a group of men before the shooting.

The boyfriend told police they noticed they were being followed, and rear-ended the other vehicle. Someone then began firing into their car, shooting Navarro.

Navarro was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.

Navarro’s 2-year-old was also inside of the car.

Investigators are still searching for a suspect.
