TEXAS- A pregnant woman was found shot to death in her car, and her boyfriend has been arrested in connection to her death.
According to several news outlets, police found the pregnant body of 26-year-old Darionne Burley slumped over in the front passenger seat, next to a sonogram photo of her unborn twin babies.
Police say that the car was found abandoned in a parking lot.
WFAA reports that shell casings were found below the victims feet in the vehicle.
According to an arrest affidavit, Burley’s boyfriend, Maurice Smith, shot and killed her as he walking away from the vehicle and towards a woman’s SUV, which he allegedly carjacked.
Smith was the father of the two unborn twins. According to police, he told them that he had got into argument with the victim, and when they both arrived home, she left in a Civic.
Smith has been detained on suspicion of capital murder of multiple persons.
He has not been charged.
