MINNEAPOLIS- Ex-cop Thomas Lane, who was charged with three other officers for the death of George Floyd, got out of jail with the help of crowdfunding.
According to The Star Tribune, Lane’s attorney, confirmed to the paper that the money came from a legitimate fundraiser. The site was shut down once Lane was released.
It’s not clear if all of the money went to Lane’s bail.
Lane was charged with aiding and abetting in the death of George Floyd. His next court date will be for June 29th.
