Singer R. Kelly was back in a Chicago court, after spending the weekend in jail because he couldn’t come up with a $100,000 bond.
The 52- year-old R&B singer, whose real name is Robert Kelly, has been charged with 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse after four victims came forward. Three out of the four women were underage at the time of the sexual relations between them and the singer.
Prosecutors say there is a video stemming from 14 years ago showing him allegedly performing multiple sex acts with a 14-year-old girl.
During a hearing on Saturday, prosecutors say Kelly allegedly sexually abused girls between 1998-2010.
Kelly’s attorney says he doesn’t believe the victims.
The singer was stuck in jail for the weekend, because he’s been unable to come up with $100,000 for his bond. They are even fans of the singer that are trying to raise money for the shamed Grammy award winning singer. He also owes over $169,00 in unpaid child support and rent according to CNN.
A surprise to many, especially to me, knowing he owns a recording studio.
Since he can’t come up with the $100,00 bond, he will going back and forth from Cook County jail to court.
