R. Kelly dropped from RCA records after docu-series backlash

R.Kelly has been dropped from his record label RCA Records, following the tons of backlash from the documentary series ‘Surviving R.Kelly’ that aired on Lifetime.

This information comes from a person who was briefed on the decision. Their identity is being hidden because of the record labels agreement with the singer.

The documentary series drew national headlines, and just a week ago, one of his alleged victims Faith Rodgers held a press conference with her attorney, who claimed that R.Kelly has been intimidating her since she spoke out against him in the docu-series.

In the past several weeks, Lady Gaga took to social media to tell the world that when she recorded her song “Do What You Want” with R.Kelly, she was in a dark place. She expressed sympathy for the victims and say she will be pulling her song with him from streaming platforms. Celine Dion, who also made a song with R.Kelly, plans to do the same.

R.Kelly has been accused for DECADES of sexual assault, sex with underage girls and most recently, much more. He was once married to singer Aaliyah, when he was 28 years old, and she was only 15 years old, but the marriage certificate claimed she was 18. R.Kelly’s lawyer confirmed that information in a interview and the music industry was apparently well aware. Her parents obviously approved of it.

In 2002, he was charged with 21 counts of child pornograpy over a videotape, when prosecutors said it allegedly showed him having sex with a 14 year-old- girl. He also allegedly urinated on her face in the tape. In 2008, he was acquitted of all charges, after the female would not testify. The court then said they couldn’t prove her age.
