CHICAGO- Court documents obtained by The Chicago Tribune claim that singer R. Kelly refused to transfer his cellmate because he had too “much going on.”
An incident report claims that the singer went against an order to transfer his cellmate to Loop facility’s special housing unit. That area is a more secure area which is away from the general population.
The 53-year-old singer, whose real name is Robert Kelly told investigators after getting written up, “I was told I didn’t have to take a cellie and I have too much going on to worry about incident report.”
The investigators also added that Kelly’s attitude wasn’t pleasant but “poor” through the investigation.
The disgraced singer is being held without bail on a 13-count federal indictment in Chicago on the allegations that him, along with his two of his associates paid witnesses and victims to change their stories off in his 2008 child porn trial where he was acquitted.
He faces other charges in NYC.
