Singer R. Kelly, whose real name is Robert Kelly, has asked a judge to travel outside of America to travel to Dubai.
According to a motion filed in Cook County Circuit court, Kelly wants to travel to Dubai to meet members of the United Emirates’ royal family.
The motion, which was filed on Wednesday, is claiming that the Grammy award winning singer is battling paying his child support, legal fees and other expenses after his record contract was cancelled and two US concerts.
Kelly had to surrender his passport last month after he was charged with 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse and was released on bail. He has been arrested twice in the past two months. His last arrest was because he failed to pay $161,000 in back child support but someone who wanted to remain anonymous, paid the $161,00o for him in Cook County jail.
