R. Kelly to be moved to NYC for sex-trafficking trial

NYC- Singer R. Kelly will be going on trial for sex-trafficking charges in NYC.

The trial had been put off due to the pandemic, but during a virtual hearing, U.S. District Judge Ann Donnelly said that the trial will finally move forward on August 9, reports PIX11.

The judge ordered that Kelly be transferred from Chicago, where he’s facing another upcoming trial in fall for other sex crimes, to NYC.

The disgraced singer will most likely be transferred to Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center.

Prosecutors in NYC allege Kelly led a ring made up of his mangers. bodyguards and other employees who helped him recruit young girls and women for sex.
