Singer R. Kelly, whose real name is Robert Kelly was back in court on Wednesday for his child support hearing.
Kelly’s publicist Darrell Johnson told the Chicago Sun Times that the singers camp would be asking the judge to lower his child support payments.
Despite what Johnson said, Kelly’s lawyer told the press that there would be “no change” on Wednesday. There was also a gag order put in place by the judge and Kelly is set to be back in court in May.
Kelly is supposed to pay $21,000 for his three children, aged 21, 20, and 19 that he shares with his ex-wife Andrea Kelly.
The singer was arrested last week in court after he failed to pay $161,000 in back child support payments but was bonded out by someone who wanted to remain anonymous when they stopped by Cook County with the exact amount of money that Kelly owed.
