ATLANTA- Rapper 21 Savage spent 12 minutes in jail on Thursday, after he was arrested on gun and drug charges.
The rapper, whose real name is Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, turned himself in to police at the DeKalb jail was released minutes later, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The rapper’s charges stem from his 2019 arrest by ICE.
He allegedly threw a bottle of liquid out of his car which contained codeine and a handgun was found inside of his vehicle.
Abraham-Joseph was born in Britain, but moved to Atlanta when he was a young boy. Agents claimed he was in the states on a Visa, which had expired.
