Rapper 42 Dugg Faces Additional 5 Years In Prison, Here’s Why

Rapper 42 Dugg may face an additional 5 years in prison.

The 28-year-old rapper failed to appear for his previously agreed-upon prison sentence, after he was sentenced to six months in a West Virginia prison camp for illegal possession of a firearm, according to The Detroit News.

42 Dugg pleaded guilty this week to evading that sentence, the news outlet reported, but now the judge may extend his prison sentence which had previously been set at six months, plus a $250,000 fine.

A plea agreement filed last month states that the Detroit rapper, whose real name is Dion Hayes, should serve six months in prison and attend a 30-day inpatient drug treatment program.

He’s due back in court for his sentencing on May 10.
