Rapper 42 Dugg Sentenced To One Year In Prison

DETROIT- Rapper 42 Dugg was sentenced to serve one year behind bars after pleading guilty to failure to report.

The rapper will serve one year in prison, pay a $20,000 fine and be under three years of supervised release when his sentence is done. Prosecutors had initially recommended a six-month sentence, according to Detroit News.

Dugg was also ordered to stay away from illegal drugs, the news outlet reported.

The rapper was charged with firearm possession in March 2020 for reportedly firing a gun at a shooting range while being a felon after the ATF received a tip.

He was released from jail but was arrested months later for evading police.

In May of 2021, he and his lawyers negotiated a plea deal in which Dugg would have three years of probation and a $90,000 fine instead of serving jail time but he was arrested AGAIN.

He was arrested in Las Vegas and didn’t take a drug test, which was a violation of his parole.

The “Thump Sh*t rapper was scheduled to start his six-month prison sentence in West Virginia but failed to appear. He will now have to be on supervised release for an additional year when his time is served.
