CALIFORNIA- Rapper A$AP Rocky has plead not guilty to a felony firearms charge in connection to a shooting in Hollywood.
The rapper, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom Wednesday for his arraignment. He’s facing two counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm with allegations of personally using a firearm, according to Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón’s office in a press conference.
His bond was set at $550,000.
The alleged shooting, which was reportedly caught on camera, happened in Hollywood and involved Rocky’s former friend and A$AP Mob member, A$AP Relli, who came forward last week as the alleged victim.
Rocky allegedly shot in the “direction” of Relli on Nov. 6, 2021, after the two got into a dispute. Relli reportedly suffered minor injuries to his hand. A$AP is accused of fleeing the scene with two other people.
