Rapper Archie Eversole’s brother, who’s accused of his death, made his first court appearance on Friday.
Alexander Kraus’ attorney asked the judge if his client could be freed on bond, but the judge denied the request, reports WSB-TV.
Prosecutor Tauri Thomas described how police found Eversole, saying “When they got there, the victim had a gunshot wound to the face and a gash on the forehead.”
Despite his injuries, Thomas says Eversole was able to give police details on what happened. He said he was sleeping when he was shot.
“When they asked him if the person who shot him was still at the residence, he said he was, but he wasn’t able to identify who shot him,” Thomas said.
Eversole and his brother were both sharing a condo.
The rapper was found at a gas station, which was a block away from the home.
Thomas said police found blood on the walls of the condo and a bloodied handgun with a casing on the floor.
His brother was arrested and charged with murder.
Archie Eversole was known for his hit song “We Ready”.
