MILWAUKEE- Rapper Big Wan has died at the age of 19 after he was fatally shot.
The rapper, whose real name is Dawan Turner, was shot and killed Friday morning, according to Milwaukee police.
Turner was killed when shots were fired into a home around 9:30 pm. He was staying at that residence with his grandmother and mother, according to a family friend, reports the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Turner was in an upstairs bedroom when he was shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
His death has been ruled a homicide by Milwaukee police.
There are no suspects in custody and there is an ongoing investigation.
Big Wan was a rising rapper from Milwaukee. His breakout track “Fast Lane Lifestyle” dropped in 2019, getting over 400,000 views on YouTube.
