Rapper Black Rob dies at 51

NYC- Rapper Black Rob has died at the age of 51.

The rapper’s death was confirmed by his close friends and rapper Mark Curry, who had once collaborated with him.

Singer and songwriter Mario Winans also confirmed the rapper’s death, writing “This hit my heart……. we will NEVER forget you brother! RIP BLACK ROB!”.

A video of Black Rob, whose real name is Robert Ross, went viral a week ago, after he appeared underweight, and toothless in a Hospital bed.

In the video, taken by DJ Self, he was asked about DMX, who was dying at the time and Rob said he had “Big Love” for him.

Black Rob revealed in the same video that he was homeless, and was suffering from kidney failure. He also said that he had suffered 4 strokes.

Black Rob was signed to Diddy’s Bad Boy Records in the 90’s.

His hit ‘Whoa!’ (which my brother and I got to be part of, as we there for the video shoot) was the anthem in 2000.

He was featured in hits like Ma$e’s ’24 Hours To Love’, Diddy’s ‘I Love You Baby’ and more.
