NEW YORK – Rapper Bobby Shmurda was released from prison on Tuesday after serving a 7 year sentence.
The brooklyn rapper whose real name is Ackquille Pollard was paroled on Tuesday.
Police arrested Shmurda after he was leaving a recording studio near Radio Music City Hall in 2014. He was in possession of two handguns and a small amount of crack.
An indictment charged Shmurda and 15 others with a variety of crimes that included murder, attempted murder, drug dealing and more.
Shmurda was sentenced to serve 7 years in 2016, but was was eligible for early release due to time served and good behavior.
