Rapper Boosie Arrested In San Diego On Gun Charges

SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA- Rapper Boosie was reportedly arrested on gun charges in San Diego this past weekend, police said.

The rapper, who also goes by “Boosie Badazz”, was taken into custody around 7 p.m. Saturday after a traffic stop when police allegedly found two handguns in a vehicle he was in, Lt. Gavin Lanning said, according to The Advocate.

The Baton-Rogue rapper, whose real name is Torence Hatch, was booked on counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm, being a prohibited gun owner who was in possession of ammunition, carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle with a prior felony conviction and unlawful possession of a registered firearm, The Advocate reports.

The man with Boosie, Billy Ray Johnson, 28, was booked on counts of being a convicted felon carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle and unregistered owner in possession of a handgun.
