Rapper BTB Savage was fatally shot on Thursday after an alleged revenge killing, according to a report.
The rapper, whose real name is Darrell Gentry, was shot and killed while inside of his vehicle.
His mother, Bernita Ward, told ABC13 said that BTB thought he was going to be featured in a song, which was an opportunity for him to further his career, but instead a group of men arrived at his apartment to allegedly rob him.
The rapper was on VLAD-TV and spoke on how he and his girlfriend fought a would-be robber.
He told Vlad how he instructed his girlfriend to shoot the man during the Feb incident. He said he told the alleged intruder, “I don’t give a f*** about you. You’re going to die,” as he was pleading for his life.
BTB’s mother told ABC13 that she warned her son to stop speaking on the attempted robbery on social media.
The rapper went on to post a disturbing photo of himself wearing an arm cast and holding a stack of money with blood splattered on the walls and floor.
Hours later, BTB was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting in Forth Worth Texas.
It’s unclear if the two suspects are linked to the attempted on the rapper.
