HOUSTON, TEXAS- Rapper BTB Savage was reportedly shot and killed on Thursday evening.
Houston Police Chief Troy Finner said during a press conference that police received a 911 call around 6:10 p.m. for a drive-by shooting in the River Oaks area.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found the Houton rapper deceased. He was reportedly driving a white Mercedes when he was shot, according to local reports.
His family confirmed his identity, police said.
A black Subaru SUV drove up to BTB while he was in his Mercedes and opened fire into the vehicle.
At least two suspects were seen getting out of the Subaru SUV and firing more shots into the rapper’s vehicle.
Police said they believe this was a targeted incident.
There have been no arrests made.
The rapper had posted disturbing photos hours before, wearing an arm brace, and holding a stack of money with what appears to be blood splattered all over the room he was in.
His caption reads:
