Rapper DMX’s cause of death has been revealed three months after his death.
According to the Westchester County medical examiners office, the 50-year-old rapper died from a cocaine-induced heart attack, which cut off the blood flow to his brain.
The Westchester County medical examiner’s office told Vulture “It was cardiac arrest for a period of time, so there was no circulation to the brain.”
DMX was hospitalized on April 2 and was in a vegetative state until he died on April 9.
A memorial was held for him at the Barclays Center on April 24.
