CHICAGO- Rapper Dopeboy Ra has died at 33.
The 33-year-old Atlanta rapper was found dead on Aug. 16 inside of a park in Chicago, where he had traveled to for work-related purposes.
Dopeboy Ra, whose real name is Rodriquez Smith, was reported missing by his family and friends a week before his body was found, according to reports.
Dopeboy was signed to rapper T.I.’s Grand Hustle label.
Grand Hustle released a statement confirming the rapper’s death:
“The Grand Hustle family is deeply saddened by the tragic passing of RaRa,” the label wrote. “We are sending our condolences to his family, children, friends and the Atlanta community. Our Grand Hustle brother will truly be missed for his remarkable presence and effortless talent.”
There is no cause of death.
