Rapper Drake Expected To Give Virtual Deposition In XXXTentacion’s Murder Trial

FLORIDA- Rapper/singer Drake is expected to give a virtual deposition in the murder trial of rapper XXXTentacion, according to reports.

Drake’s lawyer filed a motion earlier this week, so he didn’t have to appear for the deposition, but was ordered by a Florida judge to appear.

The Canadian rapper is now scheduled to be disposed by defense attorneys in the trial for XXXTentacion’s murder.

As I wrote before, Drake was named as a witness, along with a few other artists back December.

Drake, whose real name is Aubrey Graham, is expected to attend a virtual deposition on Friday, Feb. 24, according to Broward County court records released on Wednesday.

An attorney for Dedrick Williams claims that Drake, who was feuding with XXXTentacion over a song before his death, may have fueled the Florida rapper’s death.

The attorney also pointed out an old Instagram story in which the late XXXTentacion wrote “If anyone tries to kill me it was @champagnepapi [Drake]. I’m snitching RN.”

That story was deleted, and XXXTentacion said that his IG account was “hacked.”

Drake never been charged in connection to XXXTentacion’s death.

This is week two of the rapper’s trial.

Three suspects have been charged in the rapper’s death.

Michael Boatwright, 28, is the accused shooter, Trayvon Newsome, 24, is another gunman and Williams, 26, is accused of being the driver.

A fourth suspect, Robertt Allen, 26, pleaded guilty last year to second-degree murder and agreed to testify against the three other suspects as part of the deal.

If all three men are convicted of first-degree murder, they face life in prison.
