Rapper Earl Swavey’s Cause Of Death Is Revealed

LOS ANGELES- Rapper Earl Swavey’s cause of death has been revealed.

The Los Angeles native, whose cousin was rapper Jay Rock and a protégé of the late A$AP Yams was killed on Jan. 9 from a copper bullet that struck his back and went into his heart, reports Rolling Stone.

The 26-year-old rapper also suffered from blunt force trauma, after his car crashed into a mobile home, according to Rolling Stone.

The rapper, whose real name is Earl Hatton, was reportedly shot by someone outside of a party. Hutton was in a vehicle with 5 other people when the shooting happened.

On the night of the shooting, witnesses reportedly claimed that someone from inside of the rapper’s car fired a gun, which prompted individuals outside the party to shoot back.

The five people who were in the car suffered injuries but lived.

The shooting was allegedly “gang-related.”

Swavey was 16 when he met A$AP Yams, who took him under his wing after listening to his 2013 song “Beef” on his mixtape Business Before Pleasure.

Yams died in 2015, and Swavey continued with his music, which included The Dirtiest, which dropped a month before he was killed.
