Rapper Fetty Wap was released on a $500,000 bond this Friday after he was arrested a week ago on drug charges.
The New Jersey rapper, whose real name is Willie Junior Maxwell II, was arrested by the FBI on Oct. 28 for his connection in an alleged drug distribution ring.
Fetty pleaded not guilty to the charges.
He is one of six people who were indicted in the federal case. All six are accused of a scheme to distribute more than 100 kilograms of drugs to dealers who sold them in New Jersey and Long Island.
Five of the suspects were charged with using firearms except for Fetty Wap.
The drugs that were sold consisted of fentanyl, cocaine, heroin and crack cocaine.
A judge approved a bond application. Fetty is allowed to travel for professional tours, with approval. He was also ordered to have no contact with any co-defendants, is subject to GPS monitoring under the conditions of his release, reports NBC News.
The ‘Trap Queen” rapper was set to perform his set at Rolling Loud music festival when he was arrested last week.
