MOTT HAVEN, NYC- Rapper French Montana was giving back to his former neighborhood in the South Bronx.
The Grammy-Award winning rapper returned to Mott Haven on Sunday to give out jackets to residents for the winter, according to local news outlet Bronx12 News.
The event was held at Gaucho’s Gym, a gym that the “Unforgettable” rapper played basketball at when he was younger. 200 children and women’s leather jackets were handed out. The jackets were by Daniel’s Leather NYC, the outlet reports.
French even shot a music video while there.
This is not the first time that the Bronx rapper has given back to his former South Bronx hometown during the winter season.
