CHICAGO- Rapper G-Herbo was arrested and charged this past weekend after police allegedly found him with a loaded gun and marijuana during a traffic stop.
G-Herbo, whose real name is Herbert Wright III, was charged with a misdemeanor count of unlawful use of a weapon Sunday evening, according to Chicago-Sun-times.
The rapper will not be facing charges for the 250 grams of marijuana that was allegedly recovered from the stop, the outlet reports.
Herbo, 27, was pulled over by police around 5:45 p.m. while inside of a black Cadillac that made a turn without signaling, according to an arrest report.
Officers said they approached the SUV and allegedly saw G-Herbo “making movements with his hands” where they recovered a Glock .357 caliber handgun.
Herbo didn’t have a license to own or carry a gun.
A judge set his bail at $5,000 and ordered him to refrain from carrying a gun.
