Rapper G-Herbo has reportedly paid off his restitution from his wire fraud case and is pleading to have passport retuned to him.
According to court documents, obtained by RadarOnline, prosecutors informed the court that the rapper, whose real name is Herbet Wright III, paid off his $140,000 bill.
“Now comes the United States of America and acknowledges satisfaction of the assessment, restitution and/or fine Judgement as to the defendant in the above-captioned matter, Herbet Wright III, by payment in full. The United States also acknowledges satisfaction of the Order of Forfeiture Money Judgement, by payment in full,” the outlet reports.
After he was sentenced to three years of probation in a plea deal, he also had to surrender his passport to the Probation Department in December 2020, pending resolution to the matter.
G-Herbo now said he needs a court order instructing the Probation Department to release his passport.
As Blackroomedia reported, G-Herbo was indicted by a federal grand jury in 2020, along with five other co-defendants.
He was found guilty of one count of Conspiracy to Commit Wire Fraud after reaching a plea deal with prosecutors.
The Chicago rapper used stolen credit card info and used the funds to buy expensive puppies, trips to tropical villas and luxury cars, but made it seem as if it came from his lifestyle as a rapper.
