Rapper G Herbo pleads not guilty to fraud charges; ex named as witness

Rapper G Herbo plead not guilty on Wednesday via a videoconference to federal charges brought on to him in Massachusetts.

The charges allege that G Herbo, whose real name is Herbert Wright III, and five of his associates stole identities to make fraudulent charges for a lavish lifestyle that included trips to Jamaica, expensive puppies, private jets and more.

The Chicago rapper plead not guilty to aggravated identity theft and conspiracy to commit wire fraud, The Chicago Tribune reported.

He’s currently in Los Angeles, and requested if he could travel to New Jersey, so that he could visit his pregnant girlfriend, Taina Williams, who is rapper Fabulous’ daughter.

The judge granted his request.

The crazy twist to this story is Herbo’s ex, and his son’s mother, Ari Fletcher is being identified as a witness in this federal case. Court documents are ordering G Herbo to even stay away from her.

If convicted, G Herbo faces up to 6 six years in prison.
