Rapper G-Herbo Sentenced To 3 Years Of Probation For Fraud Involving Private Jets And Puppies

MASSACHUETTS – Rapper G-Herbo was sentenced to three years of probation Thursday on federal wire fraud charges in a conspiracy to use stolen identities, private jets, “designer puppies” along with other services.

The Chicago rapper, whose real name is Herbert Wright III, was ordered to pay restitution and forfeiture, as well as a $5,500 fine, according to reports.

His defense had asked the court to place the rapper on a probationary period after he pleaded guilty in the case. The prosecution requested that Herbo serve a sentence of one year and one day in prison, along with 36 months of supervised release.

G-Herbo was convicted three years ago on conspiracy to commit wire fraud and aggravated identity theft charges.

He was indicted again in 2021, after he lied to authorities about his scheme.

Herbo admitted to his plea to over a million dollars of fraudulent purchases for goods and services that included expensive trip to islands, puppies, private jets and car rentals.

As part of the plea deal, prosecutors dismissed two counts of identity theft.

Five others of his associates were charged as alleged co-conspirators. His manger and promoter Antonio “T-Glo” Strong. The 28-year-old rapper paid Strong to arrange flights and other accommodations that he knew were brought through stolen credit card info.

Strong pleaded guilty.
