LOUISIANA- The murder trial of rapper Hurricane Chris began on Wednesday with opening statements, according to KSLA.
The trial began on Monday, as potential jurors were selected on Tuesday. On Wednesday, jurors will hear testimony and a presentation of evidence by the state, the station reports.
Hurricane Chris, whose real name is Christopher Dooley, is facing second-degree murder and illegal possession of stolen things.
He has plead not guilty and claims he acted on self-defense.
Opening statements for his trial are now over with, and witnesses are testifying.
Dolley is accused of killing Danzeria Farris Jr. on June 19, 2020. Farris was shot multiple times at gas station.
