Rapper & ‘Hip-Hop’ cast member Juelz Santana was sentenced to two years in prison on Wednesday by a federal judge in Passaic County, for trying to bring a loaded gun on an airplane at Newark Liberty International Airport.
According to Nj.com, the judge sentenced Juelz Santana, whose real name is LaRon James, to 27 months in prison and one year of supervised release. This is according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of NJ.
James who is a resident of Totowa, NJ, pleaded guilty in August to possessing a firearm as a convicted felon and for carrying a weapon on an aircraft.
The rapper was arrested in March by (TSA) agents, after they discovered a loaded .38-caliber derringer handgun in his bag as he attempted to board a flight to San Francisco.
Juelz Santana recently proposed to his off & on again girlfriend Kimbella, who is also a cast member on the show ‘Love & Hip-Hop.’ Both have children with each other.
