Rapper Kodak Black charged with criminal sexual conduct

Prosecutors in North Carolina say that they have charged rapper Kodak Black with first-degree criminal sexual conduct.

According to court documents, Kodak Black, whose real name is Dieuson Octave committed the crime in 2016 when he was 21-years-old in a hotel room. The arrest warrant also states that Octave forced the girl onto the bed, then the floor, where he committed sexual battery as the girl told him “no” and to “stop” on several occasions.

It was also documented that the rapper bit the girl on her neck and breast. These injuries were documented during her rape kit. The girl told her school nurse after the incident occurred but not the police. The police were later contacted.

This incident happened after a concert in Florence, N.C.. The warrant accused him of committing sexual assault. He was arrested in November of 2016 on the warrant, but got out on $100,000 bond.

Kodak Black is currently on tour, but  most will likely go on trail in the summer or the beginning of the fall, according to 12th Circuit Solicitor Ed Clements, who spoke in an interview on Thursday.
