Rapper Kodak Black’s Lawyers Request He Be Placed In Rehab To Avoid Jail Time

MIAMI, FLORIDA – Kodak Black’s lawyers are requesting that the rapper be placed in a rehab.

Kodak Black appeared in front of a judge Tuesday, Dec. 19 and his lawyers asked the judge to place him in a 90-day drug program in Arizona for his Oxycodone and Percocet addiction they said he’s been struggling with since doing jail time in 2020, according to NBC Miami.

The “Super Gremlin” rapper was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine and tampering with evidence on Dec. 7 after officers found his car packed on an active roadway.

Police said when they approached the rapper’s car, they smelled alcohol, and a search of the vehicle yielded marijuana residue and white powder.

Officers said Kodak may have tried to get rid of evidence by ingesting cocaine at the scene because his mouth was full of white powder.

Kodak Black is currently behind bars in Miami Federal Detention Center as he awaits the judge’s decision on the rehab proposal by his counsel.
