Rapper Ksoo Has Motion Denied By Judge To Remove State Prosecutor In Case

FLORIDA- A judge denied a request from rapper Ksoo’s defense attorneys requesting that the state prosecutor be removed from the case, according to News4JAX.

Ksoo, whose real name is Hakeem Robinson, is facing two separate second-degree murder charges in two separate cases.

Ksoo is being charged in the 2019 shooting death of 16-year-old Adrian Gainer and in the 2020 fatal shooting of Charles McCormick.

According to the motion filed by the rapper’s attorney’s, they believe that the state attorney’s office is purposely enlisting those who are facing jail time to testify against suspects in order to receive a shorter sentence, reports news4jax.

A witness, who wasn’t in jail, but facing a sentence for another crime, was going to testify against the rapper in court.

Ksoo’s attorney’s claim that the witness allegedly recorded a conversation with a prosecutor on the phone. During that conversation, the prosecutor allegedly told the witness what to say while on the stand.

The judge stated that it was the witness who was in the wrong by illegally recording the conversation. The judge also said that the witness was setting up the prosecutor for his own gain.

Ksoo’s attorneys have filed a motion to request an adversary preliminary hearing. The motion claims that the court prevented the rapper from being released and increased his bond, reported news4jax.
