JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA- A interrogation video shows rapper Ksoo’s father incriminating him in a murder investigation.
Abdul Robinson Sr. was charged along with four others in the murder of Charles McCormick Jr. who was fatally shot in 2020.
During the interview, Robinson Sr. said that after his son allegedly killed McCormick, he posted a video on his Instagram of him in a nail salon getting a pedicure with a caption that read “Kill a n***a than go get my toes done,”, reports News4jax.
Robinson Sr. then told the State Attorney’s Office that he called his son and told him to take the message down.
In the video, Robinson Sr. is seen telling prosecutors as he sat with his attorney, that Ksoo, whose real name is Hakeem Robinson Jr., is the one seen on video footage running from the scene with a rifle.
Prosecutor: “Now as a part of discovery of this case, you’ve had an opportunity with your attorney to watch what I will refer to as a dash cam video that actually recorded the murder of Charles McCormick. Is that correct?”
Robinson Sr: “Yes, Sir”
Prosecutor: “Did you recognize the shooter?”
Robinsson Sr: “Yes, sir.”
Prosecutor: “Who was the shooter in that video?’
Robinson Sr: “Hakeem Robinson.”
Prosecutor: “Your son Hakeem Robinson.”
Robinson Jr: “Yes.”
Robinson Sr. said he thinks the shooter is his son because of the Jordans the gunman was wearing and his gun, which he claims his son carried before.
Robinson Sr, and four others, including two of his sons, Hakeem Robinson Jr. and Abdul Robinson Jr, have been charged in connection to McCormick’s death.
Leroy Whitaker and Dominique were also charged
Robinson Sr. was charged with accessory after the fact.
Robinson Jr., Whitaker and Barner are all awaiting trial.
