CHICAGO- Rapper KTS Dre has died after being fatally shot upon leaving jail.
The Chicago rapper, whose real name is Londre Sylvester, 31, was shot 64 times on Saturday night as he was leaving Cook County Jail.
About 8:50 p.m., Sylvester and a 60-year-old woman were walking away from the jail when two people got out of a car and began firing at both of them, Chicago police say.
KTS was shot in his face and chest. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The woman who was with him, was shot in her knee and taken to a hospital to be treated.
A female who was walking by was grazed by a bullet to the side of her face.
Police say the shooting was an orchestrated attack.
KTS went to jail in April for a bail violation in connection with a felony gun case. He was due back in court on July, 27, 2021.
