Rapper Lil Tjay Livestreams Arrest In NYC While Filming Music Video

MANHATTAN- Lil Tjay was arrested again and this time he livestreamed the incident.

On June 6, The Bronx rapper was apprehended by the NYPD for reckless endangerment as he was filming a music video, according to reports.

Tjay’s lawyer Dawn Florio said he was halfway through a scene when police officers showed up and arrested him. The rapper caught the interaction on Instagram Live.

In the video, Lil Tjay can be heard telling an officer not to touch him before he passed his phone over to someone else and surrendered.

The NYPD claimed Tjay was sitting on the sunroof of a moving vehicle as he allegedly waived a firearm in the air. After his arrest, police said they retrieved the weapon, which turned out to be fake.

He’s been charged with misdemeanor reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon for publicly waiving the prop gun. He was also charged with obstructing governmental administration for attempting to resist the arresting police officer’s orders to put his hands behind his back, according to TMZ.

Lil Tjay turned himself into police custody last month over charges of illegal weapons possession stemming from a shooting in NJ that left him shot multiple times.
