Rapper Lil Tony Dragged Out Of Court Before Life Sentence In Killing Of 9-Year-Old

NORTH CAROLINA- Rapper Lil Tony was dragged out of court before being sentenced to prison for the murder of a 9-year-old boy, according to reports.

Lil Tony, whose real name is Antonio Davenport, was convicted in July of 2022.

He was found guilty on three charges of federal murder, racketeering and gun charges.

On Tuesday, the rapper faced a judge for his sentencing and received life in prison for Z’Yon Person’s murder after being removed from the courtroom after an outburst. He was given an additional 10 years for federal gun charges, according to News & Observer.

Derrick Lamont Dixon was charged and convicted of murder in this case and was also sentenced to life in prison.

Z’Yon was in a car with his aunt, sisters and cousins on Aug. 18, 2019 to get snow cones when he was shot.

The rapper reportedly had his chain stolen several days before and was out for “revenge”. He thought his rivals were riding in the SUV that Z’Yon was in when he opened fire.

Z’Yon was shot in his head and died the following day.

Davenport was driving the car, and the bullets came from a gun in his possession, but he denies any wrongdoing and blames it on his two co-defendants, prosecutors say, according to News & Observer.

Lil Tony had just signed to Atlantic Records before the murder.
