Rapper Lil Zay Osama Facing Federal Gun Charge After Allegedly Leaving Gun Inside Uber

NEW YORK CITY- Rapper Lil Zay is facing a two-count federal indictment for illegal firearm possession, according to a report.

The rapper, whose real name is Isiah Dukes, is accused by prosecutors of allegedly leaving a loaded pistol that was modified into a machine gun as he was riding back from Manhattan to a recording studio in an Uber in Sept. 2023.

A Brookyln federal grand jury handed down the indictment on Wednesday. It charges the rapper with possession of a machine gun and possession of an unregistered firearm. The prison sentence for the accusations carries a sentence of up to 20 years if he’s convicted, according to Billboard.

Two months after his arrest, he took to Instagram, where he said the incident was “dismissed.”
